Reiki Maui Glo is located in Kula in the lower foothills of Haleakalā. On any given day the heavenly clouds and mountains gently come together. They immerse the energies of the heavens and mother earth giving all living matter their universal life force energy we call “Mana.” This universal life force is all around us. This universal life force is found in all living matter in human beings, animals, and plants. This universal life force is called Reiki in Japan.
The origins of Reiki come from Japan and date back to the early 1800’s and is a form of energy healing practiced by laying of the hands on the body. The word “Reiki” in Japanese means “Universal Life Force Energy.” The Rei refers to universal and Ki to life force energy. Mikao Usui is the founded of this form of energy healing practiced and is known as The Usui System of Natural Healing. This form of healing can also be received from a distance. Reiki can help reduce stress, and be used for situations, on plants and animals, and used for clearing energy in your home or office.
Mikao Usui is the Grand Master of the Usui System of Natural Healing and upon his death his successor was Dr. Chujiro Hayashi. Hawayo Takata was taught Reiki from Dr. Chujiro Hayashi and was entrusted with Reiki. Hawayo Takata was the third Grand Master and brought Reiki to the Western world. She taught and practiced Reiki on Kauaʻi and abroad. Her granddaughter Phyllis Lei Furumoto is the fourth Lineage bearer of the Usui Shiki Ryoho, Usui System of Natural Healing.
A series of 4 consecutive treatments to start the healing process is recommended for emotional well being. An individual may be healed in one area and have blocked energy in another area. Reiki works on all levels of well being: the emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical. The healing process is ongoing and continues on the second and third treatments. One can begin to feel and experience changes in your body.
